Great book for a beginner like myself to learn not only RSLogix programming, but also the concepts needed to understand what the ladder logic is actually doing. As well as how the different components of a PLC perform their tasks.

An excellent introduction to RSLogix 500

This book serves as an excellent introduction to RSLogix 500 and the fundamentals of PLC programming in general. The book is written in an easy-to-understand manner and doesn't throw too much at a novice programmer too quickly. I would recommend that readers have at least a basic understanding of industrial electricity, motor controls, and relay logic before attempting to delve into PLC's. I would also recommend that you use an RSLogix 500 simulator (these can be found online relatively cheap) to practice with while you are reading this book. This book series also serves as excellent reference material for an experienced programmer, which is my intended purpose.

Don't waste your money

The author doesn't explain anything. The graphics are terrible with a very poor resolution. You're seriously better off just searching the internet. I've found waaaaaay better PowerPoint presentations with awesome description that are significantly better than these books.
I seriously wish I could have my money back.
